Live Wildly

Happy Friday, friends!

Gosh, I miss you guys and writing so much. Life has been so busy in the most beautiful and stressful way lol. I’m sure you guys understand what I mean.

I wasn’t planning on writing or posting on my blog today but I thought I would share something the Holy Spirit told me Wednesday evening. I am currently enrolled in an online intensive course called Co-Create with The Beautiful Mind Academy and it is absolutely stunning!  The founder and creator of this beautiful course is Jessica Shakir.  Go follow her on the gram, (Instagram) y’all lol.

On Wednesday night, she asked us two questions. I don’t remember the exact way Jessica worded the questions, but I do remember more or less what she was asking us.  The question were, “What has kept you back from living the full life God has intended for you? What is the Holy Spirit asking you to do?”

I was able to answer the first question right away. Unfortunately, the answer is fear. It has been for sometime now.  However, I do believe wholeheartedly that I will see breakthrough in this area.

Now truth be told, I didn’t have an answer for the second question.  I was praying and listening to the other ladies respond in the class and I felt the Holy Spirit say, “I want you to be wild in Me.” Instantly I knew what it meant!  Being wild in the Lord means trusting Him with all I have and not withholding it.  It means expecting my biggest and wildest dreams to come true in Him.  It means hoping for more and being confident in Him. Being wild in the Lord, for He and I, means finding the wonder of relationship with Him again. It means being excited in my relationship with Him again.

I don’t know if this has ever happened to you guys before, but when you’re walking in relationship with Jesus for a number of years, like any relationship, it can get a bit dull. However, it shouldn’t!  It shouldn’t get dull when there is intentional time, intimacy, love, excitement, and full surrender. If I’m honest, I had lost some of that wonder and reverence for the Lord. It wasn’t because I forgot about who He is, but because I let so many others things (fears, disappointments, business, etc.) consume me which caused me to stop living in wonder of the King. When that stopped for me, I lost the excitement and joy of having access to His presence all the time. I lost expectation and surrendering all of me for all of Him.

Psalm 51:12 says, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.”

I pray we would remember that surrender takes humility, releasing the grip of fear, disappointment, and acceptance. The beautiful posture of surrender with the Lord is that acceptance also brings expectation-expectation for a fuller future, a better tomorrow and to live wildly in Him and His presence.

If you’re reading this and don’t know or believe in Jesus, that’s okay. Welcome to On Fridays, We Clean and know that the God of the universe is absolutely besotted with you. He loves you with a love that we’ll never truly understand because of our flawed understanding of love. He wants you to get to know Him and He’ll wait for you. You don’t have to be afraid of Him. Don’t believe the lies that He’s a mean God, pointing His finger at you and condemning you. He loves you and is waiting with open arms to embrace you with unconditional love.  You can give Him a chance. Give Him a chance to show you who He really is, not what people have told you, and experience Him for yourself.

We love you, Jesus and I.
