Bless The Lord
Psalm 103: 1-2- Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His Holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.
About two weeks ago, I was driving in my car and I was listening to a song called The Joy by The Belonging Co. Initially I was only listening to the song, but then I started to sing along. After the song played through once, I repeated it. Now what started out as singing along with the song, turned into a praise and worship moment in my car by myself!
I wanna read the chorus really fast to you ladies. It says,
“The joy of the Lord
The joy of the Lord is my strength
O my soul, bless His Name
All that is within me say
The joy of the Lord
The joy of the Lord is my strength.”
As I continued to praise and really declare the words of the song, O my soul bless His name, I sensed the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit and say, “Your confidence is coming back.” As soon as I heard that I started to cry. Now crying isn’t uncommon for me as of late. However, I started crying because I knew that if my confidence was coming back then so was my faith. Now that doesn’t mean I lost my faith, but it does mean that life has been lifing a little bit and it rattled me. And in my being rattled, I was forgetting that as a daughter of the King, I have a right to hope, joy and confidence in Christ Jesus.
The beautiful part of it all is that it was my praise that was bringing back my confidence! It was the fact that I was opening up my mouth once again in praise and in worship, that ignited a fire back in my heart and my inner man that said, wait a minute, I can be confident in the Lord! I can declare miracles, salvation, redemption, hope and joy. Not only can I declare it, but I can have it! It is rightfully mine!
Ladies, praise and worship, be it privately or corporately, is what brings our confidence back! Praise and worship are our weapons!
Praise and worship ignite faith in our inner man and says, I can, and I will walk in miracles! It doesn’t matter what is going on or how I feel, but I will bless the Lord at all times, I will enter your courts with praise because You are worthy and because You are good!
Praise and worship remind us that we are not defeated by any means and that the name of Jesus has conquered every single grave and that means that we will sing with high praise unto the Lord. We will give Him our best because He gave us His best.
Ladies, praise and worship your way to and through the miracle! Praise changes the posture of our hearts; it brings confidence in Him and it ignites our faith.
So today, let’s posture ourselves to bless His name with all that is in us! That praise would be the vehicle in which the miracle comes.
Non-Toxic Cleaning Tip: Instead of throwing out your lemon and orange peels, put them in a glass mason jar and add distilled white vinegar to the jar. All the lemons and oranges should be covered by the vinegar. Keep it in a cool and shaded place for two weeks before using. After that, mix with some water in a different spray bottle and get to cleaning =)!
