Dear Mother

This is probably one of my favorite photos in the world. It’s a picture of my mommy and Mima embracing. It’s a photo of two women who worked together to raise me and in the process became genuine friends. They're real friends.

If you know my mom, then you know she is an iron fist in a velvet glove. She is a full on force yet she is so tender, loving, sweet and feminine. If you know Mima, then you know she is fierce in all she does. She is quick, strong, full of grit yet so graceful, peaceful, feminine and has a childlike wonder.

Growing up and still to this day, I do not like the word ‘step mom’. It actually irritates me and believe me, I am quick to correct someone when they say it lol. I have two moms. I have a double blessing and portion. They are the realest and truest. They are who they are on and off stage, in front and behind the scenes. They both mean the absolute world to me.

When you see me, I hope you see the love of Jesus and the two of them 💕. If I could be a fraction of who they are combined, I would have made it in life.

Why do you need to know them?

Because my wisdom is a collection of the Holy Spirit and all that they are which means that reading this blog, they will be spiritual mamas to you too.
