Armor Up

Happy Friday everyone đź’›

Let’s all take a moment to shout out, “IT IS FRIDAY!” Praise the Living God lol.

I want us to start with thankfulness because it’s important to bring thanks and praise to God first before anything, even if it’s been a hard week.

I’m not sure if I have shared this with you guys yet, but I have been having a hard time with my job. I am so grateful to have a job and not in lack, however, the experience at my job for the last three years has not been pleasant to say the least. This week, like most work weeks, has been stressful and emotional from a work standpoint. On Tuesday morning, I was reading my Bible and told the Lord, “I’m so tired, I don’t know what else to do or have to fight this battle.” I heard the Holy Spirit tell me so clearly, “Put on the full armor of God.” As soon as I heard Him say that to my heart, I thought to myself, “Okay, I can do that. I can put on the full armor of God and let you handle the rest.”

If you’re in a place of, “I have no idea what to do,”then start there! Start with thankfulness and then putting on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us what the full armor of God is and what each piece of armor is for. Put it on y’all!

The best piece of advice I ever got was to pray out loud. As you are putting on the full armor of God, say it- pray it out loud. Do it before you leave home and as you’re getting ready for the day. If you don’t know what each piece of armor is by heart, that’s okay, open your Bible and read those verses out loud. If you need to make dance steps for it then do that too. Actually, that may not be a bad idea, especially for the parents that are reading this blog. Make dance moves or motions or a song for putting on the full armor of God. If you create a song, hand motions or dance moves for these verses, be sure to include what each armor piece represents. It will teach your kids how to do it early on, give connection and quality time between family and commit those scriptures to memory.

Let’s all make putting on the full armor of God a habit and a part of our normal morning routine, the same way putting on clothes is. Don’t leave home without it. We all need it.

We love you, Jesus and me.

P.S. If you decide to create a song or dance moves with your family for this verse, please share and I will post it!
