A Reminder To Yourself <3

“You're never gonna let

You're never gonna let me down

And You're never gonna let

You're never gonna let me down

You're never gonna let

'Cause You are good

You are good, oh oh

You are good

You are good, oh oh”

King of my Heart- Steffany Gretzinger

This Friday’s post is very simple.  It might be too simple, but it’s what’s on my heart to share with you.

King Jesus, He will NEVER let you down!  Repeat that with me out loud, “King Jesus, He will NEVER let me down.”

In my last post, “Do You Dust?” I talked about how your spirit must win over your feelings.  One of the greatest weapons we have is praise.  Praising God has brought me through moments of fear, heartache, disappointment, anger and so much more.  Praise has given me victory.  Praise has given me hope.  Praise has given me strength and compassion.

Someone may be wondering, how can I be sure that He is never going to let me down?  In all honesty, I don’t have the perfect answer for big questions like that, but I do know that His Word is truth, He is not a man that He should lie and He is good.  Because He is good despite my feelings or circumstances, it gives me certainty that He will never let me down.  I’m confident of His character and His character is goodness.  I’ve experienced it for myself.  Just because something doesn’t go the way I wanted it to or prayed for it to go, doesn’t mean He isn’t good.  That type of thinking will rob you of seeing His goodness and true nature.

Remind yourself of that truth, He will never let you down.  Why? Because He is good.  Why is He good?  Because He gives Himself to me everyday.  He loves me unconditionally even when I can be ugly to love.  He is faithful to me even when I am not faithful to Him.

Challenge -find a scripture verse that talks about His goodness.  S.O.A.P that verse- Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer.  Meditate on that scripture, pray it out loud, apply it to your heart and let it carry you in every season.  Trust me, we all need to do that because seasons of hardship come and go, but He will remain the same and He will never let you down.

We love you, Jesus and me.
